Welcome to the Usher Transport, Inc. Safety Department. Usher Transport has a nationally recognized Safety program which has been honored by numerous organizations including National Tank Truck Carriers, American Trucking Association, Ashland Chemical and BP. Usher Transport was recently awarded the merit awards for Highway and personnel Safety by National Tank Carriers along with a 16 year improvement award.
Usher Transport's Safety Program is Directed by Michael Baker who is a certified Director of Safety and Hazardous Materials responder. He has over 31 years in the trucking business. Mike is the current state representative to the ATA for the Kentucky Motor Transport association, chairman of the State Truck Driving Championships, a member of the National Truck Driving Championships Committee, Past Chairman and Vice Chairman the American Trucking Associations Southern region and the Kentucky Motor Transport's Safety Council.
Usher Transport has emergency response teams located in Louisville and Paducah, KY with the Director of Safety Mike Baker certified to the Incident Commander stage and all other team members are certified to Technician level, along with a fully stocked emergency response trailer. We are a member of national Tank Truck Carriers Mutual Aide Society for carriers and customers needing assistance with hazardous material incidents.

Though we are a nationwide carrier, our areas of operation allow us to recruit from both regional and local settings which provides our drivers and owner-operators the diversity and choice to run over-the-road, regional, dedicated, as well as locally.
The majority of our fleet spends less than two nights per week on overnight travel with most loads being either a one-day or day and a half trip. If you like to stay out a little longer, we can do that as well. One thing we can guarantee you is that you will not be out on a 7 to 14 day dispatch as with most carriers.
We are always open to accepting applications for any driving position within the company whether you are an owner-operator or company driver.
Trucking Terminals
Company terminals include: Louisville, KY (corporate), Paducah, KY, Cincinnati, OH, Catlettsburg, KY, Columbus OH, Nashville, TN, Canton, OH, and Toledo, OH.
DTL Refueling Terminals
Company drivers only are hired at out DTL Refueling Terminals located in Danville, KY, Bellevue, OH, Elrama, PA, Jersey City, NJ, Calumet, IL, Elwood, IL and Newark, DE.

- A minimum age of 23 years old
- A Class-A CDL with Hazmat and Tank endorsement
- 2 years verifiable over the road driving experience in a tractor-trailer
- And no more than 2 serious moving violations within a 3-year period
